A friend 0f mine was down in Arizona and took some pics of this guy, last year! Notice how the "LAW"(see PIGS) backs off when the victim receives support from the community!!!!! My dad had a few run-ins with the city, in Vancouver back in the 70s. They said he needed a licence, and washroom facilities to sell Okanagan fruit on a street corner in Vancouver!(Grandview Hwy and Slocan) He was arrested and cuffed by 2-3 burly pigs, on TV!(He iwas only 5'7" and wearing a straw hat for effect) It was shown nationally, because we got phone calls from relatives and friends back in Ontario. When he was released from jail the next day, we went to the fruit stand and there were about 20 cars parked waiting for us to open up! (We had put up a sign "Closed for Altercations" My dad slapped an old toilet and sink on a few fruit crates,in front of our fruit stand, and said,"there are your "toilet facilities". There must have been 5-7 "rear-enders" a week on Grandview Hwy because people were looking at the home-made "washroom", instead of where they were going!. There were old ladies sitting on the toilet and taking photos!!! Being the entrepeneur that he was, he planned the whole thing, and made a ton of "tax-free" money that summer! It is true sometimes, that there is no such thing as "bad" publicity! Any how, my point is, he challenged the authorities/city/mafia and they buckled! They gave him a temporary "licence", no charge!!!! Don, he lived in Oliver back then and was well-known by the locals. Ask the Klatts about it sometime! Nick.
